Trailblazers PAC moves politics out of the back room, onto the front porch. We educate and invest in candidates running at the county level and below, who take action for honest government. We are nonpartisan, and will consider candidates from any political party who:

  1. Run in a contested race for local office (not state or federal, just county-level or below),
  2. Fundraise using an independent campaign finance committee solely in support of their candidacy, and receive a contribution in any amount from at least 1% of the voting households* in the election district sought,
  3. Disclose 100% of all campaign contributions and expenditures, and
  4. Commit to standing up for clean government once elected to office.
trail·blaz·er /ˈtrālˌblāzər/ – A person who makes a new track through wild country.

*A voting household is defined a household with at least one voter in it. In other words, this is the total number of distinct addresses on the voter rolls. Voter turnout is not a part of this calculation. The board of elections will have this information on hand, but may in some rare cases require a FOIL/FOIA request.
