(Newton, Mass.) –- Trailblazers PAC, the national, nonpartisan organization supporting candidates for county or municipal level office who stand for honest government, announced its endorsement of Bryan Barash for Newton (Massachusetts) City Council in the March 16, 2021 special election.

To earn Trailblazers PAC’s endorsement, candidates for county or municipal level office of any party must disclose every penny in and out of their campaigns, make themselves accountable to their own voters by raising funds from households within their district instead of just from outside interests, and stand up for honest government which upholds the U.S. Constitution and respects the dignity of all people.

“I’m proud to have the Trailblazers PAC endorsement recognizing my leadership on honesty and campaign finance reform,” said Bryan Barash, candidate for Newton City Councilor (at-large). “When I’m elected, I’ll keep on working to increase citizen access to local government, and to ensure that all City Council and School Committee roll call votes are easily available to the public. People should never have to watch a two-hour video to learn how their representatives voted.”

Trailblazers PAC is proud to endorse Bryan for a second time. He has demonstrated a commitment to Front Porch Politics by making voters the centerpiece of his campaign. He has earned our endorsement by following a higher standard than the law requires, raising money from his voters and disclosing every contribution. He’s taking real action for honest government,” said Alli Woodard, Executive Director of Trailblazers PAC.

Now in its fifth year, Trailblazers PAC has reached millions of voters across the country by mentoring municipal-level candidates in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. The organization only endorses and donates to candidates running in contested elections, and since 2017, over 65% of these candidates have won their elections.
