(SENECA FALLS, NY) – Trailblazers PAC, the national, nonpartisan organization supporting candidates for county or municipal level office who stand for clean government, announced its endorsement of Doug Avery who is running in the November 5, 2019 general election to serve as Seneca Falls, New York Town Supervisor.

With a mission of “Front Porch Politics,” Trailblazers PAC changes the game by challenging leaders of any party to act better than the current broken money in politics system. Across the country, Trailblazers give voters the power to take back their rightful role by moving politics out of the back room, onto the front porch. Around these candidates grow communities that demand and expect honest government.

To earn Trailblazers PAC’s endorsement, candidates for county or municipal level office must disclose every penny in and out of their campaign, make themselves accountable to their own voters by raising funds from households within their district instead of just from outside interests, and stand up for honest government through Election Day and beyond.

I’m extremely honored to be endorsed by Trailblazers PAC.  To have an organization out there that supports candidates for local office, and then helps them run an honest and open campaign is incredibly valuable.   The mentoring Trailblazers provides, along with their non-partisan nature makes it easy for a candidate to know that they are doing the right thing in the right way,” said Doug Avery, candidate for Seneca FallsTown Supervisor.

“Trailblazers PAC endorsed Doug Avery in his winning race for Town Board in 2017, and now for his 2019 election to Town Supervisor, because Doug doesn’t just make campaign promises. Doug takes real action for clean government as a candidate, and he’s already demonstrated that he continues to put voters first during his service in office,” said Leslie Danks Burke, founder and president of Trailblazers PAC. “Our endorsement doesn’t just carry over. Doug had to work hard again this year to follow higher ethical standards than the law requires, and we’re proud to stand with him.” said Leslie Danks Burke, founder and president of Trailblazers PAC.

Now in its third year, Trailblazers PAC has invested in successful candidates of many different political parties in one community after another. Trailblazers PAC also offers popular “Front Porch Politics” workshops that have educated thousands of candidates, supporters, and interested citizens on local-level political involvement in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and elsewhere, and is mentoring municipal-level candidates in New York, Colorado, Indiana, Texas, and other states.
