“Front Porch Politics” was originally performed at the Kitchen Theatre in Ithaca, Tompkins County, and boasts seven musical numbers directed by Travis Knapp.
The actors who developed this production did so to support clean government organization Trailblazers PAC, which mentors and donates money to county and municipal political candidates of any party, anywhere in the country, who value using higher standards than required by law.
“Congresswoman Slaughter…was a great supporter of Trailblazers PAC when we launched in 2017 because she knew how significant town and county officeholders are in people’s day-to-day lives,” says Leslie Danks Burke, president and founder of Trailblazers PAC. “With Trailblazers PAC celebrating two years of growth and hundreds of local-level candidates served across the country, it’s an honor to bring this humorous musical performance to Louise’s hometown, in tribute to her commitment to honest government.”
Sandra Frankel, the former Brighton town supervisor and one-time candidate for Monroe County executive and New York lieutenant governor, will join the cast as a special guest and provide a special tribute to Slaughter.
6 to 8 p.m. on April 23 at the Lyric Theatre. trailblazerspac.com/events
