Trailblazers PAC Endorses Deborah Lynch for Chemung County Legislator, District 3

(Horseheads) – Trailblazers PAC, the nonpartisan organization supporting local-level candidates across New York State who stand for clean government, announced its endorsement of Deborah Lynch in the November 6th election for Chemung County Legislator for District 3, which covers the Town and Village of Horseheads.

With a mission of “Front Porch Politics,” Trailblazers PAC aims to move politics out of the back room. Trailblazers PAC invests in candidates of any political party (even if they are running against each other) if they choose to follow higher campaign finance standards than law currently requires.

“As a candidate it is my promise to be in constant contact with the people in my district, and I won’t stop that after election day.” said Deborah Lynch, candidate for Chemung County Legislator. “You can hear me at almost every door I knock on, and it’s printed on my signs: ‘it’s not about me, it’s about us.’”

“Deborah works nonstop to reach every voter, and make sure voter voices get heard in her community. That kind of commitment to move politics out of the back room, onto the front porch, is what Trailblazers PAC is about, and we are proud to stand with with Deborah,” said Leslie Danks Burke, founder and president of Trailblazers PAC.

Trailblazers PAC has a track record of successfully investing in candidates since March 2017, and puts on popular “Front Porch Politics” workshops across New York and Pennsylvania. Eighteen workshops have been held for candidates, supporters, and interested citizens in far-flung locations over the past two years.

To earn Trailblazers PAC’s endorsement, candidates must be: running for county or municipal level office; 100% transparent in disclosing their campaign finances (far beyond law requirements); funded in part by contributions from actual voters in the district or municipality they want to represent (rather than solely by outside or special interests); and committed to continuing action for clean government once elected.
