HORSEHEADS, N.Y. – Trailblazers PAC, the non-partisan, honest government organization, today announced its endorsement of Dan Keating for Pittsford Village Board of Trustees as he runs in the upcoming March Village Elections.
“Trailblazers PAC is proud to endorse Dan Keating as he runs for Pittsford Village Board of Trustees. It is inspiring to see so many regular folks getting involved in local politics as they seek to create positive change in their community. At Trailblazers PAC, we believe in bringing politics out of the back room, onto the front porch, where all citizens can engage and be a part of the process. Dan is a leader who is committed to honest government and we are excited to support him,” said Leslie Danks Burke, Founder of Trailblazers PAC.
“Transparency is at the center of why I’m running for office. I talk about it with every voter, at every door. It is critical for an elected official to communicate with the constituents, and to listen to them: it has to be a two-way street. When it comes to fundraising, nothing short of complete transparency will do. The voters deserve to know who funds the candidate. ‘Open and Honest’ is at the core of this campaign,” said Keating.
This is Trailblazers PAC’s first endorsement of 2018. Trailblazers PAC endorses candidates at the County level or below who fully disclose their campaign finances (far beyond what state law requires) and who power their campaigns in part through in-district contributions, making themselves accountable to their own voters. In 2017, Trailblazers PAC endorsed 24 candidates for office, with nearly 60% of them winning.
