2017 Candidates and Supporters to Join Our “Front Porch Politics” Workshop

On September 9 in Hornell, the nonpartisan Trailblazers PAC, which funds and trains candidates for local office across New York and Pennsylvania, will present its innovative “Front Porch Politics” workshop focused on taking action for clean government. Since launching earlier this year, Trailblazers PAC has garnered national attention for its work training over 500 participants across the two states and investing in candidates running for local office in 2017.

“Regular folks see that fixing the broken politics in Washington, Harrisburg and Albany starts with electing local candidates who stand up for us. Voters should be the most important voices at the table, not big money special interests, and that starts right here, by getting politics out of the back room and onto the front porch,” said Trailblazers PAC founder and president Leslie Danks Burke.

A past candidate for State Senate in New York’s rural, 5-county 58th district, Danks Burke founded Trailblazers PAC to educate and invest in candidates running for local office across New York and Pennsylvania.

Trailblazers PAC funds candidates who take action toward more honest government by fully disclosing all their campaign finances, and who make themselves accountable to their own voters by fundraising at least a portion of their campaign budget from within their district. The nonpartisan organization was jointly invited to present by three Twin Tiers regional organizations: Indivisible Tioga County PA, Invisible Hornell, and PRO Allegany.
